Message from the TGSOBA President

It was with a unanimous vote that the Toowoomba Grammar School Old Boys’ Association (TGSOBA) elected to finance a commemorative website, honouring and recognising our men who have been involved in every major conflict and peacekeeping mission since 1885.

With such an extensive and rich history, never before have we had such ease to explore the background and stories of these heroes. It is moving.

There have been 189 Old Boys who have made the ultimate sacrifice in war. These men have laid down their lives so that we can enjoy the freedom and prosperity that we all experience today.

This resource is a small way in which we can honour these men, some not much older than the students who graduate each year.

On behalf of the Association I would like to thank and congratulate all involved from concept to fruition. It is detailed, touching and respectful. You have done them proud.
